New here?

If you’re new to the church, we hope you’ll feel really welcome. Please do make yourself known to one of the team. We have welcomers at both services who will be wearing a badge. Please do ask them if there is anything you need.

  • At our church, you can expect a warm and friendly welcome from a community that’s happy to have you with us. Our 10am service is traditional yet relaxed and our 5pm service is more informal, both creating a space where people of all ages can connect with God and find meaning together. We invite everyone—whether you’re exploring faith for the first time or have been on this journey for years—to join us just as you are.

  • At our 10am service we have seperate groups for children & youth. If your child would like to join us for these they’d be very welcome. Please speak to one of our sides people when you arrive and they can provide you with more information. We don’t have any groups at our 5pm service, but children are so welcome to be a part of the service.

  • As a visitor, there is absolutely no expectation or need for you to give. We want everyone to feel welcome and enjoy the service without any pressure to make a financial contribution. We don’t ‘pass the plate’ in either of our services. Giving is completely voluntary and meant for those who feel led to support our community. If you’d like to make a financial contribution there is the option to give via cash, at the card machine or via direct debit.

  • Our 10am service typically lasts about an hour and is followed by a time of refreshments, where you’re welcome to stay, enjoy a coffee and get to know others in the community. This is a relaxed, friendly time to meet people, ask questions, and connect with others if you’d like!

The 5pm service lasts around 1 and ¼ hours and is followed by dinner (during term-time) which you’d be so welcome to stay for and get to know people!

  • If you are joining us for our 10am service we meet in the main church building. If you’re coming to our 5pm service, we meet in the youth centre. One of our friendly team will be able to point you in the right direction when you arrive!

  • Yes there is a car park for a limited number of cars, the entrance is via Bishops Rise. This car park also has a disabled parking space. There is also parking on Bishops Rise and Northdown Road which is unrestricted on Saturdays and Sundays.

  • We want St Johns to be a safe and accessible church for everyone. If you’d like to chat with one of the team before you come for the first time, please do drop us an email. We’re currently working on a dedicated page with lots more information about accessibility and facilities of the church buildings - coming soon.
