5pm service

We want to do church in a way that is authentic, friendly and relaxed. We believe that God is real, completely relevant and able to help us in whatever is happening in our everyday lives. In our services we will seek to live this out by making room to encounter God in our worship, in our teaching, by seeking God’s presence and by looking to build a community that anyone can belong to.

What can I expect at 5pm?

Our services are really informal. We start with time in worship, followed by a short talk. We then allow time to wait on God. We have members of the team available to pray with you if you’d like. Our services are followed by dinner and a chance to get to know one another more.

The service is welcome and open for anyone to join and we’d love to you be a part of our church community. We particularly welcome students to our service. If you’re a student head over to our student page to find out more about what’s going on.

Missed a talk at 5pm?

We record the talks at 5pm so you can catch-up on any you’ve missed or listen back again if you want to remember what was said. They’re added to Spotify each week!

Values of 5pm

  • We want to help people connect with the presence of God through our worship, teaching and praying.

  • We want to be a family where people can be known and supported through great, and not so great, seasons of life.

  • Whether we already know God or are still figuring it all out, we want to be a place that helps individuals to move forward in their faith journey.

  • We want to help identify, encourage and nurture people’s gifts, callings and vocations and then help people to step into what God has for them in their lives.

🚨JOIN US THIS EASTER!🚨 1. Join us in celebrating Palm Sunday at 10am on the 13th of April! We’ll sing, read scripture & hear about what Palm Sunday is! 2. We are gathering on Maundy Thursday (17th of April) for a reflective service and a simple supper afterwards as we enter into the Easter weekend! 3. On Good Friday we are having an hour at the cross at 12pm as we commemorate our fallen saviour 4. Family fun day! Come on down for some fun with craft, games, music and an Easter egg hunt! 19th of April from 10-11:30am! 5. He is Risen! Join us at 10am on Easter Sunday outside the church to celebrate our risen saviour! 6. On Easter Monday we’re having our Pilgrimage to St Albans cathedral with other churches in the diocese! We’ll be meeting in the youth centre for breakfast at 9am with the walk happening at 10:30am!
